I have had one of those for 10-12 years. sits outside, when it gets to about -20, which we usually get every year, we usually cover the balls up with old insulated coveralls, cause the cattle are not out overnite. and didn't have any problems with it. To prevent the balls from freezing, you can apply vasoline to them. till now irt will not leave unless there is one to takes its place. we do not have a heater in it.
