The pump is not the problem.

You could address this in several ways. What kind of oil are you using? Hydraulic fluid, like Hy-Tran or John Deere 303 or their generic equivalents would thin out less when warm. If you are using detergent motor oil, you have a system full of foam. Foam won't lift or cool anything. How fast are you running this pump? It normally ran at 800-2500 rpm in a vehicle. Some were good up to 5-6000 rpm. If this one is run from the A's belt pulley it is probably around 2500 rpm already. Could you put an oil cooler in line? They were available for vehicle automatic transmissions. How big is your reservoir? A bigger reservoir provides more oil.
