I can see a reason for the concern at shows. I've been to a few and have seen some little kids running around. It isn't too much of a stretch to see Jr get his eye poked out tripping in front of your bar. However, I've dug the sickle out of our mower enough time to know that that is no fun. Better, and easier way, is to get a sheet of light steel and have it bent to fit the guards on the bar. As for hauling the mower, it depends on whats holding the bar in transport position. On our mower, it's a chain, in which case, you might want to tie the bar back so it won't flex. I'd say go for it. As much as I love to go to shows and see tractors, it's much more interesting to see the implements made for the tractors displayed so we can all see another little bit of the total package. Aaron
