Michael, sorry to hear about your uncle. My condolences to the family. Same thing occurred two winters ago to a 76 year old farmer that lived east of my brother's farm. I know where your uncle was coming from, my Dad was the same way, he never wanted to retire from farming. The greatest joy in his life was to be outside doing farm work. He could never stand the thought of living the last years of his life in a nursing home. My Dad got his wish he passed away at 78 at home in his easy chair reading the paper and watching a ball game on TV. The fall before he had been hauling the corn wagons for us. The week before his death he had been to see his Doctor and had been given the OK to drive the tractor for spring planting. He was so happy,
just couldn't wait for the fields to dry up.

Blessing to the dedicated farmers where $$ are not the most important thing in their life.
