Could be that after they stopped making H/M blocks, or at least not as many of them, they did whatever was necessary to get the inventory sold, or to get a block to a customer. They probably ground off part numbers and or serial numbers and either did or did not restamp so that a power unit block number would not show up on a tractor, or vice versa -- don't guess it really matters. What I really learned was the reason for the places for the dipsticks and fuel pumps that are on I suppose, all H/M blocks--Thanks!
