Clearance for suitcase weights on a 504

I need some weight on the front of my 504. It has a wide front end. The tie rods are in front of the axle assembly. I see pictures of 504s with brackets bolted on the front and suitcase weights hanging on the bracket. The only ones I see with the suitcase weights installed have the tie rods behind the front axle assembly or are tricyle front ends. The brackets and weights are pretty pricy, so I am asking if anyone has any experience with suitcase weights on a wide front end 504 with the tie rods in front of the axle assembly. Do the weights hang high enough to clear the tie rods? Thanks in advance.
