Jim, Hope you received the bushing that the sensor screws into. The outer thread is 1/2" NPT (pipe thread) the inner threads are a different pitch. Original temp gauges had a real fine thread but newer ones aren't that fine. Took me three times through local dealer to get the right one after sending my head to the machine shop and they lost the original bushing. FB
