Rusty has some good comments. I’m not sure what your horsepower needs are. If your M has flat 3 7/8 pistons, the 4 inch overbore step pistons will amaze you with what that M will do. Allen probably won’t believe this, but I used to pull a 3-14” plow about 7” deep (pliers depth) in sandy-loam soils all day long in 3rd gear. If you really need the power, you might want to consider swapping the block for a block that will already take the 4 1/8 inch piston like one from a super M. Heads can make a big difference too, especially the high altitude, high compression ones.
