It's more serious than a carburetor. Take a look at the setup; there's no way for fuel to get into the oil from the carburetor. It's hanging out in midair, from the intake manifold.

There is only one path for any appreciable amount of fuel to get into the oil, and that's around the pistons.

That tractor has got to be absolutely gutless. It's gotta be puffing grey smoke like it's going out of style.

In short, the engine probably needs a rebuild.
