Use a ring made of stiff wire as a depth stop, so the seals will not be pressed to the bottom of the bores, yet it will be aligned square in the bore. This will make the seal lip wear on a new area of the shaft, and no repair sleeve will be needed. Before you do that, check where the seal lip is on the new seal, compared to the old seal, Many old seals are now subbed to a more modern, narrower seal, and the seal you have MAY run the lip in a different area, as it is.
