I have a 340 Farmall that after it sits for some time needs to have yhe air in the system bled off. This is perhaps your problem also. The hydraulics won't work at all. First I get the tractor fired up, then I loosen the line coming from the pump up to the hydraulic bank. With luck you will hear the pump start to pick up its prime, then simply tighten the fitting. Last year it wouldn't pick up so I loosened the fitting completely and put air pressure to the system using a blow gun on my air hose. Just put it in the filler hole on top of the trans and hold a rag around it to try and get some pressure in there. Don't expect instant results but be ready to shut the tractor down when the oil starts to flow or you'll get a bath. Once it starts pumping hook everything back up and it should work. Remember this is only a guess, but it's something you can try. Good luck PUTTER
