Ours had ca IH 407, however it was a very very late B series, and some of the parts on the tractor where C series, so it could be that early B series had a diffrent engine. Im a huge Deere fan, but I must say that the 407 is a super engine, we now have a much newer TD-15 that has a Navistar DT466, also a super engine.
