I had a 826 years ago sweat tractor if it was above 50 degrees out. I was told the valves make a big difference. I installed coolant heater and learned to live with the smoke. We have a Cummins in our 4 wheel drive tractor it will blow smoke rings for 5 minutes when really cold out so I guess the 826 isn't to bad.
