Dale: Drain it as best you can, change that filter on right side of torque tube. Fill with new Hy tran fluid. 06 and 56 series tractors had a dip stick in fill pipe right on platform ahead of seat. That 504 probably still uses fill to level plugs with a fill cover just opposite gear shift. One thing I have found with Farmalls from that era, (1958 to 1968) hydraulics work much better and you will have far less long term trouble if you run that transmission about 3/4" above the full mark. Note I said transmission, don't try it with engine crankcase
