Cowman, IMO.. Do not get a light duty trailer! Yes it will work for what you have described. But, there will come a time when you will trade for a larger tractor or haul farther than the Lt. Duty trailer should. A heavier trailer will BE the better choice for a tractor or equipment. It can be placed more on the trailer and put just enough wt. on the truck to make it ride right. Thus making the best use of the truck you allready have, not making it necessary to trade trucks any time soon. A good 25 ft GN trailer with 2, 10,000lb axles, w/ a 5ft dovetail is a very good usuable length. trailer, if that is too long for your taste then a 20 or 24 with the dove tail might be a better fit. Anyway... loose the idea if the Lt. Duty trailer, at some point you will be sorry. Hope this helps. Later, John A. PS.... Bigger and Heavier is BETTER!
