Does the possibility of trading him some moonshine for it exist? Perhaps if you let him drink some prior to agreeing on the price, it would sell below $5000. In any event it is a rare tractor. The sheet metal can be replaced and the TA fixed. Hard telling what else is wrong -- it's probably a money pit, but one of the few IH tractors of that era that you possibly can get most of your money back if you restore it.
