i tired draw filing the cap area and file seemed to shine it all up equally. the tank will slosh gas out with it 1/4 to 1/2 full. dont like it splashing on my new paint job. the tank was replaced with a nos not a used tank. is there any reason the new caps tehy gave me are so tall vs the origional domed one. new one like i said is a 3.5 inch tall cylinder. i will also try ordering that replacment cap. thanks for the help
