Your tractor is a International I-6, not Farmall. It is the industrial version of the McCormick W-6. It has the same engine as the Farmall M row crop tractor. The main differences in your International I-6 and a McCormick W-6 are: different wheels, different front axle, foot accelerator, pintle hitch standard (regular drawbar optional), hydraulic brakes were optional, different gear ratios. Standard color was red but could be painted any color. Most popular industrial color back then was safety/industrial orange. Industrial yellow did not generlly become a standard color untill the late 50's. Harold H

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
