It has been changed to neg ground and has a ballast resistor. All is well with that. I just tried something different with the alternator wiring by taking out the lights. with the lights removed the engine continues to run with the battery disconnected. So it must be running off the alternator which means that it is working. but by adding the lights it causes it not to work. Also with the alternator working it also seems to run longer with out dying. I dont know how it works and cannot find a reading using a voltmeter to show that the alt is working but it seems to be.
