Hi CN, In rotation, beets, beans and/or potatoes will oftentimes follow corn. Due to the way that they have to be raised, no-til just doesn't work. I guess spuds wouldn't be so bad, but you can just imagine running a thinner or cultivating baby beans in a field of trash. Sugar beets work the ground to the extreme, so one usually follows beets with alfalfa to replentish the N. In turn, an old established alfalfa field has to be turned under for the next year's corn crop. 'Round and round we go. Allan
