I just did this job this past summer, and here's a few "observations". First, and most important, the control rods that connect to the levers (the ones that actually run thru the smaller boots) MUST be inserted from the "boot" side of the block. Although it seems to fit from either side, inserting them from the "head" side will nick the o-rings and they WILL leak. Its actually in the manual, but not very obvious. When I took mine apart, I was lucky enough to have a digital camera and took lots of pics to be sure to get it back together correctly. Even then, I got confused at times. Clean is the word on this job. Take your time ...
