Might try to drive a knife edge or stout putty knife edge or thin chisel tapered edge between cast flanges around the perimeter where access permits. Shoot it up with penetrating oil. Try again in the morning. If you own a torch you can heat the perimeter flange but not to excess, just to weaken the gasket grip. Wear safety glasses.
