No idea what gas is in the sensing tube. Then we also don't know how much is in there or what pressure it should be at what temperature. All of these things determine the range of the gauge and how it reacts/responds at different temperatures. We just put one on my brother's SM last summer. I don't remember what I paid for it but it was probably in the $10-15 range. It was brand new and I was able to pick it up at the Case/IH dealer. My question would be: Why would you even want to try? Just my $0.02.
