Thats good news.So a new cable and drive mechanism should get it working again.Funny thing,there is no cable or drive,yet the needle will occasionally jump when its running.It might be a slight vibration causing it,but as it runs very smoothly...it sorta caught me by surprise!

I dont get the hourmeter at all....its at zero.The thing is 50 years old and it has zero hours? Maybe its reset itself all the back to zero from 9999.9???? lol
