Yah, they are interchangable, but with a few things in mind. Like others have already said, the C's gas tank has the sediment bowl farther forward to allow for the touch control, and the C's also mounts directly to the top of the touch control unit. The touch control was an option though (I have books that say so) on the C. If you are going from the C to an A, easy change, just will need a few spacers on the back support, as the C tank has the ridges that fit over the touch control out farther than the ridges on the A. If you are going from an A to a C, assuming you do not have the touch control, just make sure you have the rear tank support from the A. And, as mentioned, be prepared to lenghten the fuel line.
