Ya I can share with you that it is a 1944 model H and a non-X1 model, so it originally ran off of distilate. However it has been converted to using only the larger gas tank, and a gas only carb, I believe. I don't think that it has been modified, but who knows! Yes it ran when I bought it, but during the ride home from New York to Virginia something changed and I could not get it started. Yes I have many shop manuals for the tractor. I have never hand crank started a tractor before and I am very nervous about trying this because the front end loader is really in the way to start this thing. But how hard must you crank on it to get compression on the no:1, because the wife was turning this slowly so that I could see the piston come up to TDC and I never really felt much change in the pressure over the hole. However I would feel a great surge of pressure when using the starter motor the first time I tried this. I wish I could fly one of you guys out here to work with me on this. Anyway, I will try all of these things this weekend, and if possible I might have to call one of you guys if that is still ok with you. Do you guys reccomend me taking off the valve cover so that I can watch the exhaust valves open and close to set TDC? You guys are very helpful, and I hope I can get this running again.

Paint is another, the modern acrylic enamels are great for resistance to grease and fuel stains, retaining their shine and they last forever; unlike enamels and lacquers . Still another is the alternator. No doubt using the original generator keeps the tractor pure, but for thos
