1949 farmall cub magneto

Someone in their infamous wisdom converted my tractor that I have restored over the past year by turning the magneto into a distributor. I"ve returned the magneto back to the way it is suppose to work. My problem is...the timing is off slightly...meaning that I can"t turn the magneto far enough for the pointer and timing mark to match up for top dead center. I"ve turned the magneto as far as I can toward the engine block but the timing mark is still slightly above the pointer. Whats going to be the easiest way to correct what needs to be corrected?

My thinking leans towards moving a tooth forward or backward inside the magneto. Whatdaya say guys?
