I don't have the data for the Super H, it comes with the kit. However the measurement for the M (very similar) is 1 5/16" from the bottom of the float to the top of the gasket -- this only means that the float is level. I still say your carb is dirty, they are hard to get clean sometimes. HOWEVER the correct adjustment for the main jet screw is 5 turns out -- you don't adjust it until it simply runs smooth. The screw can be adjusted in from that position for better fuel economy, but it will not run right if you adjust it like the carb on the straight H/M, that is in until rough, out until smooth.
