They will fail all at once. I did the same thing. Just finished my Super C. Oiled the fan,even though it had made no noise or showed any sign of being bad. It locked up all at once on me a long way from the house. Bought a new one for about $60 and had no troubles.

Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
