Probably not Glenn, some will argue that one will turn shorter than the other, the older original IH WFE's had the tie rods out front where they were more likely to be damaged than if they were in the back like the Schwartz units. I think it boils down to (like you said) the viewpoint of the owners. At least you can still find more replacement parts for the Aftermarket units than you can for NOS parts for the original WFE's. I have a Schwartz WFE on my '48 M and love it.
