Perhaps the hardener was not designed to be used with the aluminum paint -- that's one reason I don't like to mix brands. Did you have a temperature change, proper curing of hardened paint will not occur below 55 degrees. Did you paint the rims late in the day and then turn off your heat, the 55 degrees applies there too. Did you paint the tractor and rims at about the same time, both with new hardener? Many hardeners have a shelf life of only 2 weeks after opening, although they can last longer. Otherwise I don't know.
