Found a SMDTA!!!!!

Hi, Was lookin in the Ontario Farmer Paper, and in the antique ads there is a SMDTA for sale, The engine and ta both rebuilt, the ad says lots of money spent, needs paint to finish off. I have bin lookin for a SMTA, but a Diesel one! man! But one thing. I can't afford it. He wants $9500 CAN for it. Is that a good price or is it way to much? Just asking. I know a guy who has $12,000 into the engine of his and is not done.
