please tell me you all fix up farmalls for the fun

Every time I rebuild these non running F-20's, M's and H's I end up investing more than expected. I buy them mostly complete but stuck for $500 or less, and by the time the engine is rebuilt, 12 volt conversion done, paint, decals put on, I sit back and tell myself I could have spent the invested money and bought one in as fine condition! I just laugh, I fool myself that I'll save money rebuilding them myself, but really it is just a fun hobby I guess.
