I'll put it this way:

When I was a young man, I taught myself how to send and receive morse code so that I could listen to and understand the shortwave radio broadcasts that would come in from around the world and that we could listen to at night on the old battery powered radio (the only signal that really came in well that far out in the country).

As with about everything else with me and my old fashioned ways, it turned out to be a totally wasted effort and useless dribble with the never ending passing of time.

But, I say to you now:
