The 1650 is a nice mower. 16HP single Kohler (cast iron), hydrostat transmission, hydraulic deck lift, electric PTO, headlights, and they stopped using the starter/generator combo on these. They came with a 44 or 50 inch quick attach mower deck. Options included a second hydraulic valve with remote ports out the front, and a sleeve hitch.

The "quiet lines" used an ISO mounted motor and the rubber mounts are often in need of being replaced if they haven't been recently (about $50 for a set of 4), we often see wear in the hydro control linkage that causes erratic operation (you have to move the control way fwd to start moving, then it seems to take off and you need to slow it back down). The steering gets loose with heavy use. There is an adjustment on the box, as well as ball joints that can be replaced to help with that. Also check if the front axle is wobbling on it's mount (a horizontal pin in the center). Front wheel bearings often need replaceing, but relatively cheap and easy to do. And yes, the cubcadet registry page is a great resource. Haven't had time to visit over there much recently, but probably should as I am getting back to few cadet projects that shoved to the back burner myself (one is a custom based on a 1450).
