There should be no reason to have to shut off the fuel on an M. I have a B, C, and M and in over 30 years I've never shut the fuel off unless I�m taking the fuel line apart. The carburetors never run over or drip either. If your carburetor is dripping, the float or needle and seat valve are the problem. Either the float doesn�t float, or the needle and seat aren�t sealing, or the fuel level is too high. Simple as that.
