RR, If you are talking about the idle mixture adjustment screw, it sounds to me like you have your curb idle speed set to high. The idle circuit cannot come into play if the carb is already running over on the high side circuit. Slowing down the curb idle speed 'forces' the carb to pull from that idle circuit and the mixture screw will then have an effect. Hope this helps, Allan
