That may be.. however we aren't in 1967 right now either, and they are not going to hand you an alternator that needs the external regulator off the shelf while at the autozone counter. They are going to hand you what it crosses to as a 'will-fit' generic equivalent.. which will be a 3 wire delco 10-si variant.... Soundguy
