I found out about squirrels the hard way. Had left an H at the edge of a field I'd been brush hogging, with flat front tires. Went back in 3 months, aired up the tires and took off for the house (11 miles) intending to re-air the tires at the mid-point filling station. It started to smoke from under the hood as I turned onto the highway, and in road gear the smoke turned to flames from the exhaust area right on to the fuel tank. Needless to say I pulled right over and emptied my water jug by throwing it up under the hood. Had a nest that had caught fire. Was able to find a stick and get most of the nest out to stomp out on the ground. The remaining sticks smoked all the way home.
