The only thing I didn't see mentioned was the
valve clearances. I have a '47 H that would only
start if towed (literally) a quarter of a mile or
more, but when it did start, it seemed to run OK.
After seeing the tip of the day here on YT that
suggested setting the valve clearances, I checked
mine. I was surprised the thing ran at all when I
saw where they were at. The tractor now starts
like a new one and has a bit more power.
