Bob - I just wandered over to look at my next door neighbor's Super A. It has it's regulator mounted on a bracket directly below the generator which I believe is "correct" for the Super A. But I've seen many A's with the regulator attached directly on the generator (appears like the regulator mounting base is curved to match the OD the generator frame). Physically regulator is a rectangular metal box, maybe 2-1/2" square and about 2" deep, or about double the size of a cutout relay box.
