MM: You are probably seeing some local term for an option. My thoughts would be all pre 1962 tractors made by IH that were available with TA, could be equiped with a forward-reverse drive instead of TA. Some people may refer to that option as a shuttle shift. Some guys get quite strange terminology for certain parts of tractor, in this case you may have to pump him a bit before you figure what he is talking about.
