About your question on interchanging the units. I believe the bolt pattern is the same. I ran into the same problem on an H last year. The shaft inside where it engages and disengages is different. After pulling the top cover and doing some work you could swap these units. You should be able to find another seal somewhere. This would be a much easier fix.
