The Elwood MFD is the only option for 4WD on the 06-88 series tractors AFAIK. So, it was a choice between an Elwood, or getting stuck :)

Elwood made a couple of different versions. Earlier models required a football field to turn around (the ones with the cradles that bolted to the frame). Later ones were much improved (the ones that mounted on the factory kingpin).
