f14 hood facts

Hi,I have an old 1939 f14,ser# fs142815.I am in the middel of the restoration.My tractor has the dual fuel tank,& the same hood as an f12 with the bead rolled into it down the center,& a small bead down each edge.It may have been replaced somewhere down the line.All of the pics I have seen of other f14's that have the starting tank in the hood,the hood is smooth.Are the hoods without the starting tanks smooth?Does anyone know if the hood is smooth or did IHC use f12 hoods on the 14's?I have built a new hood,but I need to know if I should roll a bead in it or not.Thanks Charles
