I don't have an SM parts book but I do have one for a SH. They did not come with belly pumps after 19233 according to the parts book; I assume the SM would be the same after the SM serial number break. I was not aware that the belly pump was available after the serial number break. Are you SURE about that?? However, I am not sure that any serial number break is etched in stone, as there could have been a few hybrids produced until the parts supply was used up that were equipped as you indicated. I don't know that the customer had the option, though. Hydraulics were optional, whether a belly pump or live. So there could have been SH's and SM's produced with the battery under the seat and no hydraulics shortly after the serial break. Unless studied closely, one might assume that there was a belly pump, if no live pump was installed. Also, the torque tubes were different -- at least on the SH the starter is mounted in a different place, and it was not drilled for the belly pump hoses. IH would have had to keep making the old torque tubes -- not likely, but they could have been used until used up.
