Mornin' John, This one is all electric from 150 feet or thereabouts; 6" Western Land Roller with 4 stage high pressure bowls running into 750gpm low pressure drop nozzles. This is the one that we had such a fight over; the well driller just "knew" that I was 'fetched in the head', just didn't know what I was talking about and, as it turned out, he still put the wrong motor on it (50 hp). Anyway, without going into any of the gory details, this is the place that I went broke on and we've been fortunate enough to have had a very good farmer/renter on it for the past 18 years or so. The wife and I are puttin' another one up this next summer if we can ever get this new place we are buying nudged off of dead center; but, that's another completely different chapter. :>) I thought you still lived in Texas?? Farming Never Left My Blood - by Stan Gordon. I was born in 1947 youngest of ten of a working farm. Our farm was located in Saskatchewan near Saskatoon. We had a mixed farm consisting of grain and dairy all done with old machinery and by hand. My dad had a tractor, a Farmall A which was used mostly to run the thrashing machine, a seed drill and for plowing. I remember locals used to help each other and threshing was done from daylight to after dark, one farm to another until all farms were done.
