International tractors & trucks were known as "cornbinders' in this neck of the woods as well. There weren't many other kinds of tractors around here when I was growing up. When someone mentioned tractors, you assumed they were talking about Farmalls. So I guess you might say they were know as "tractors" and everyone else had to use a brand name. The same with someone talking about an A, B, H or M, they were referring to Farmalls. If someone had a John Deere A, they had to prefix the A with John Deeere or else someone would wonder where they got a green Farmall.
