Yes you can install the top breather set up on you engine, valve cover & two pipes will do it. As i said before when this engine was overhauled it is possible the late serial number rings were installed and if so you must have the top breather set up or it will just push oil out of the side breather. Over the years there were many many changes to the 400 series engines and you really must be careful when you get parts.
