I just had my block plained because of pitting around the "water ports" where the head gasket sits on the block. I had to take of .040 to fix it. It cost $130 and they had to rebore the counter bore. I would avoid milling the block if possible. Heads are eazier to come by and cheaper than finding a new block. my $.02 worth
